Listened to classical all afternoon, cooked and watched the rain outside.

We finally got started on the coop expansion project. We got the siding pieces cut, and I got a coat of paint on both sides of all 5 pieces.

You could practically hear the wood soaking up the paint.

Beans have sprouted. I now have tomatoes (hssiao his hung shih, gold nugget, and yellow pear), yellow corn, cantaloupe, and green beans. My yard long beans haven't sprouted yet, and might not because the seeds are old.

It can help beans sprout if you soak them in water for awhile before planting.

I've heard that. That's how you get bean sprouts to eat too. I have a surprise zucchini that just sprouted. Now I have to figure out where I'm going to plant it. I planted the seeds weeks ago and figured the seeds were too old and not going to sprout. I was checking the tomato sprouts I'm going to give to a friend, and there was the zucchini sprout over in the tray that I thought wasn't going to sprout.

I just got an email the my sweet potato slips will be here next Tuesday. Yay! Except I thought I had another week plus. I need to get their spot ready, asap.
