I slept a 5 hour stretch without getting up last night.

That is a BIG win, in my book!

Today we're going to my friend's retirement party! I think that makes it official that she is now retired.

One of our coworker's has a wife who had done that. They kept begging her to work part-time, because nobody else could do what she did. She even worked hours for free when they ran out of funds.

She did scheduling and other things in the court system; not sure what. When hubby and I decided to get married, this coworker called her at work and said, "Hey Vic. Scott and Sally are getting married, and they want to do it on the Friday before Memorial Day. Can you put them on the schedule with one of the judges?"

Friends in high places, yup, that's us.

The Princess was municipal clerk for two communities over the span of 25 + years. Upon retirement she got her real estate license - she did well, but for a variety of reasons decided that was not for her. She was hired 'part time' by a municipal planner to organize his office. When part time became 4 days a week she moved on to retail sales in a clothing store. When that part time job escalated, she finally said ENOUGH.

Came home after church, parked in my recliner, put on soothing instrumental gospel music and enjoyed a peaceful nap.

The overnight low was 19. That's the highest low we've had in a couple weeks, I think.

She is smart, competent, hard working, organized, and she always works with a vision and goal in mind. I am in awe of her. Don't let her know that.
