What made you happy today?

I've seen this thread around before, but never replied.

Something that made me happy today was that the sun came out!! It was the first time she'd shown her face in weeks. Sadly by the time I went on a run the fog had descended again, but it was nice to know that the sun still exists.

It's above freezing here today, yay!
I don't even care that my chicks' brooder pen is a swampy quagmire because it's been raining all day, and apparently neither do they.

He's very big on all mythology. And WWII. And guns. He's what some people might call a nerd. I'm just proud of him. And glad he's a nerd

The raise that my employer has been dangling in front of us for 4 YEARS has FINALLY been pushed through. They call it the Compensation Modernization project. Whatever . I'm getting a $5 raise WHOOHOOO! (still not a ton of money, especially with inflation, but I'll take it!)

What made me happy: getting to dissect a heart in A&P! It might sound weird, but I think anatomy is so fascinating. And no, it wasn’t a human heart.

What made me happy today is spending time with my ladies and enjoying their sweet chirps and not freezing my butt off doing it. I put their automatic door back on and a couple of the girls were impressed with my Dewalt drill and the snowball I brought in for them!

What made me happy today: finding out my CornishX chicks were NOT shipped Monday, but instead left the hatchery today and I should get them Friday. I was flipping out about 10 am because I hadn't heard anything and was worried sick. Emailed the hatchery and asked them to track them from their end and learned I'd been sent a "your chicks are on their way" message on Monday by mistake! Relax, Chickenmom, everything is under control!
