It was an unusually gorgeous morning. The first real autumn day because it felt chilly. Haven't used that word in forever. Temp was 62 at 6:00 AM and it didn't hit 80 until Noon. Got lots and lots of yard work done that was long overdue. The chickens helped too by tilling over the large compost pile. And it's deliciously breezy today with north easterly oceanic winds. What a gift.

Well, yesterday I made mini pumpkin pies in a muffin tin! I'd not had a pumpkin pie in so long, because no one makes them gluten free. They are so tasty!

Made a nice pot of borscht and have enough ingredients left to make more and I have the ingredients to make sautéed beet tops with bacon. Good food is in my future

Borscht is the best soup, as granny garbanzo said on the big comfy couch (if anyone remembers that show), "you can't beat a beet"!

I got the windbreak fabric up on the chicken coop today. I noticed a BIG difference as soon as I had the west side covered. I think the girls will be more comfortable now.

Wasn't today but this made me happy

I finally got a diamond grey wolf in the hunter call of the wild! For context for those unfamiliar with the game, only about 1% of animals in the game make diamond and I am a bow main and an ambush hunter so I don't kill as many animals per play session so I have literally been at this off and on for years and wolves are my favorite animal. When I saw that pack had a legendary - and this is the first time I hunted that particular lake - I was ecstatic and I was also over the moon when I finally was able to get a good shot in, saw it was good and he indeed made diamond

I got the wind block panels up on the chicken run. The other thing was hubby cut down a large oak totem (tree with no top) and it'll be a lot of fire wood for this year.

Sometimes an unexpected issue comes up - I get to wear a carpal tunnel brace at night now because I have a compressed nerve that affects my left arm/hand. This means that I can't wear my fitbit on that arm at night anymore.
