What made you happy today?

An hour long phone call from a friend was a wonderful gift for me today.

And all the jars of jam I made and canned sealed.

Showed dad that one of the neighbor dogs (who I will be adopting since neighbor lady will unfortunately be going to a nursing home) isn't so bad. She is reactive to small animals as expected but nowhere near as bad as Ranger was, if I could get him to be civil with the cats and chickens I feel confidant I can get her to that point too. Her current name is Precious but I am very likely going to rename her. Never thought I would be adopting her especially since this time last year you couldn't pay me to get anywhere near her and her brother due to how aggressive they were but now I am completely comfortable walking them on leash. I think they were so aggressive back then because she never let them run around properly. A few days of being outside they calmed right down. Unfortunately I can't keep the other 3 dogs due to space and financial constraints but I can at least give her a good home

I got cool water from the tap today for the first time since last March!

It's so hot here we only get hot water from the tap most of the year. I have fine hair so I like a cool water rinse after I wash it. Usually I have to bring a cup of cool water from the fridge to the shower for the rinse.

When the weather finally goes back to normal (like now, this is our springtime) we get cool water from the tap again and I get to have my cool water rinse straight from the shower head!

Feel you 100% on this. Most folks run the shower for a couple minutes to get hot water. We do it to get cold!
