Lady, my black Australorp died in my arms from a foot infection not too long back. She was a "trade in" at my local TSC. I still have "Goldie". The 2 were in with all the regular birds, so I grabbed them.

The other GLW "nugget" was part of a purchase with 4 buff Brahmas. With the Big Brahmas size, she never grew any bigger.

At one point Nugget tried to hatch 4 eggs, but she was so small she couldn't cover them.

You should have seen the look of horror on her face when she saw the 4 flattened chicks. She has not tried to hatch any eggs since.

I am so sorry that your black Australorp passed away.

Sweet Nugget, oh sweet Nugget with her 4 eggs. Perhaps 1 small bantam egg for her. I have a Japanese bantam that can only cover 1 bantam egg. When the chick around 4 weeks, it is too big to hid under her wings so it nestle right in front of her chest which is not much cover at all.

Me, too! I think it was from a few days ago. It's the one about China's bermuda triangle, the hiker who found a portal to another dimension. It's a great story.

I don't like the murder stories but I love the missing person/411 stories and supernatural experiences like this one. He reminds me of how Coast to Coast was during the Art Bell days. I don't take any of it very seriously but it's fun story time for grown ups!

Our power went off yesterday afternoon. It came back on at 5:14 this afternoon. THAT made me happy.
