The Princess won $260 at the casino. Perhaps I'll be taken out to dinner?

Yesterday, DH told me he ordered a book from England, a graphic novel. Normally, we wouldn't even give them a look, except... it's illustrated by a woman we used to work with! And she does absolutely fantastic pen and ink drawings. I am so excited to see this!

Today, we got the DNA results back for Freya. She is 30-40% Lab (we could guess that), 30-40% Shepherd, and 20-30% Boxer!

All of which are listed as growing to 50+ pounds. Right now, she's at 43 pounds, so maybe she will get bigger.

She is 1000% loveable, and loved.

Going out for lunch, a Starbucks Americano, having dinner with friends plus a lively card game, and a very sweet compliment from my husband.

It was a sunny early autumn day - leaves are turning to oranges and reds.

Took a nice nap to the sound of rain and thunder, awoke to sunshine.

And the roof I put on the run seems to be doing very well.

My permit for the large greenhouse has been approved, and ground broke for my new house today!

I made potato soup for dinner. This made me happy because I used up the potatoes from the garden that wouldn't store well, and DH liked it enough to have a second bowl.
