My daughter just came home from college for a visit.

I got my first ever chicken egg! One of my silkies finally paid rent! also Silkie feathers after rain and chicken snuggles made me super happy.

I got my saffron bulbs today, and my bonus pack of seeds were wasabi seeds! I can't wait to plant those.

I tried to grow saffron crocus for years every time I got the bulbs they were moldy . If you have any tips that would make me happy !

I got these from Baker Creek, and they look really healthy. They even have roots starting to come off of the bulbs already. I planted 5 of them yesterday.

I plant mine in cactus mix since they're supposed to like loose, sandy soil with good drainage.

I got together with a couple friends for lunch and a "girl's day out." Which in this case, was going to lunch, and then to the Lindt store. Good chocolate, good company. Great day.
