Me too!! Enjoyed a nice walk this morning with my dog. My mom has a few friends coming over on Thursdy for a doggy play date too! So very excited!

Yesterday, we had some trees that were too close to the house taken down. These were mature oak trees, 10-16" in diameter. The crew who did the job was AMAZING!

They brought a 90' crane. One of the crew was hoisted up in the air, he tied some heavy duty rope around some branches, moved down about 5', cut straight through the trunk. Then the crane lifted the top of the tree up, up, over our house (!), and put it safely down in the yard. Two of the trees were big enough that they did them in 3 pieces like that. They cut the logs to firewood length, chipped the brush, and cleaned up.

Yesterday I was thrilled to have it all done, and no one got hurt, nothing got damaged.

Today I'm still happy about all of that.

My first grandchild made his live debut He's way early (31 weeks) but fighting. Prognosis is good.

Our Welsummers started laying! Still confused why they are olive, but I am sure it will all be clear one day! I do love olive though!

Okay, it did clear up! A camera in the coop revealed that it was our OEs that layed the olive eggs at 16 weeks old.

But, the Welsummers started laying today!

Now I get to enjoy olive and darker brown eggs! Super happy!

What a cute nubbin!!! My son was early also, 35 weeks. You would never know it now. Lots of prayers and good wishes for the little guy!
