What made you happy today?

High of 61 today, very nice day. A friend came over and helped DH split a bunch of wood. We had chicken kabobs on the grill.

3 things made me very happy today. Any one of them would have been enough, so this'll tide me over for a while.

Got my fair pig today! And attended my very first goat birth! Both very exciting!

Got a little "bookcase" shelf unit to put beside the TV, two of them actually. Got one built. When they are both up I can put all our movies on them. This will free up a real bookcase in the dining room and allow me to get most or all my small kitchen appliances off the back porch. Yaaay!

We're taking the carpet out of my bedroom, and replacing it with wood floors!

We're taking the carpet out of my bedroom, and replacing it with wood floors!

Wood floors are so much easier to keep clean! My builder looked at me funny when we were starting the contract for my new place and I said, "no carpet" when I reached the flooring allowances. I'll buy a couple area rugs, but I don't want carpets. Wood, laminate, or vinyl plank is so much easier to keep clean.
