What made you happy today?

Oh, I was hoping you'd ask! :lau Here's the new pantry.

The doors are leaning off to the right side. Originally, they were sliding doors, which didn't slide all that well.

Because the doors were built by the ID10T who built the house, the back sides aren't the same. So DH was limited with where he could put the hinges. The doors are heavy, so the hinges need a decent bit of wood to mount to. The vertical show pieces are cedar, and split easily. I call the uneven hinges "character." Hey, it's better than what ID10T did on the house he built next door.

Wow, I didn't know I had so much rice and oatmeal! The buckets are for bags of dried beans, to keep them corralled if a bag splits. Only dried good here, as it might get cold enough to freeze. The wall is external, and we don't keep this room very warm.

Oh, it's gorgeous! Mine is along those lines. But yours is much nicer ♡
Took a couple pictures of mine. DH build it in a wasted-space corner. Corner pantries are not ideal - but is better than wasted space! Pardon the clutteriness. Small house, so we put lots of small appliances and kitchen gadgets in there

I love that! When hubby and I redo our kitchen, we will be creating a butler's pantry out of an unused closet. I can't wait for more space!
