What made you happy today?

That's nice. Those childhood friends are always welcome here.

One of these young ladies now lives in Florida and is 'home' for her birthday. We last saw her at her father's memorial service a month or so ago. Talking with her then she said, "I always know when I come home that up the hill is a place where I will be welcomed."
My daughter had/has a diverse and neat group of friends - many memories.

I made it through day 3 post op for right knee replacement! Say hello to my new friend and part of my body! Grandkids call it my robotic knee…. I call it freedom from horrible pain in the knee, eventually anyhow. So that made me happy and hopeful Friday. It’s now Saturday morning and I miss going to see my ladies! They bring such joy and smiles to my face. I have a goal that by week 3 I can go down and hang out with them.

Young dog field trial at the club today, and a young dog who has been developing nicely looked great and won his class.

I'm happy I was able to get out of bed with little pain today, and walk on my own two feet. I have a warm, secure home and a hubby who loves me. Good, solid transportation. Lots of people don't have any of that. I am blessed.

I've been sick with flu the past several days, so have felt like death warmed over. I have to look for the positive and things that make me happy in spite of it.

On days when I'm feeling grumpy or sad or just generally out of sorts, I think of the Really Bad Days in my life. If I were back in one of those days and offered to trade it for today, would I?

A full day of sunshine. I also got the grocery shopping done, and stayed on budget!

My son and his girlfriend came over for the weekend. Nice!

For the little (or not so little) things in life that make you happy. I'll start with two things that made me happy today.

Today, my roommate got slushies delivered and surprised me with a cotton candy slushy.

My new company got our MSA (Master Service Agreement) and SOW (Statement of Work) from our lawyers, so we're all set legally when we sign new clients.

I was sitting on my verandah drinking coffee this morning. I raise baby Polish close to the house in the garden where there is plenty of shelter and my dogs guard them from predators including Magpies, Currawongs and Crows.
They somehow know I was there and decided to join me. I know it’s not ideal to have them pooping on my cushions but how could hunt them away? So adorable. Almost 3 weeks old.
