What made you happy today?

My order of 12 mouse traps arrived. I baited them with peanut butter and put them in the greenhouse. I saw a mouse scurry out of the compost pile and into one of my raised garden beds even as I was setting traps, so we'll see just how many I catch tonight. They eat too much quail feed.

Sitting in the sun letting the sun bake my face with my eyes closed listening to the chickens and their sweet little chirps as they free ranged nearby. It was chilly today and I picked up a bug somewhere (fever, etc). I call it the crawling crud so I didn't have energy to do much more than that.

I caught six mice last night.

Wow. You can really see the rabbit in the moon pounding her mochi.

Caught 4 more mice last night.

Yesterday I left one out for the feral cat that's been hanging around along with the usual handful of kibble. He ate the mouse first then came back a couple hours later for the kibble.

This morning I left all 4 of the mice for him, and he took them all.
