No sun here, ice on everything, birds still silent, but I did manage to do chores without falling down on the ice. That's a plus.

The chickens and quail are fed and I'm back inside with a pot of tea. The temperature is up ten degrees from when I first went out there, so it's a toasty 14F out there now.

It was 4°F when I did "chores" this morning. It felt pleasant because there was no wind.

It was foggy this morning, which makes the cold penetrate more, I think. At least there's no more snow due until Thursday. I still haven't been able to get out to work, but it should be okay for my appointment on Wednesday as long as I take it slow and watch out for ice.

If it weren't a foot surgery, I think I'd just take the hour or so each way and walk.

Found out on Tuesday that I can eat gluten again! My hives are not caused by a food allergy but an environmental one. Now, to wait for all the test results to come back, to see WHAT is causing them
