I discovered that my broody hen strains so hard when she puffs up that she farts every time. I have never heard a chicken fart and it kills me.

I’m not sure why I never thought about chickens farting! Of course they do, and it’s funniest when they’re trying to be scary

I got to use almost all of my very limited Mandarin yesterday. While I did get the person's hopes up by saying "hello" in Mandarin, they at least got to hear someone acknowledge them when they apparently don't speak English. I then had to say, "Sorry, I don't understand" in Mandarin, but I think it still made them happy that I tried.
