What made you happy today?

I had the Black Tie Cake at Olive Garden aftter a lunch of Chicken Gnocchi soup and salad. Now I can die happy!

I used to work at Olive Garden and was sometimes in charge of prepping the desserts for the day. It's amazing how many times my thumb slipped into a slice of that cake and couldn't be served to the guests
If you are a member of Costco, they have a chocolate mousse cake in their cold case that is a very good replacement

I can't stop thinking about his now. We have an Olive Garden down the street... trying to resist!

Why resist? Life is short and uncertain. If not now, when? I'm 72 and falling apart. If I'm still here next year, I'll have it again.

Not only that, I will hopefully never have to do it again since the last 2 are driving now.

It should be enough to keep marauding dogs away from my birds. We'll see about deer.

Got my car back after over a year of waiting for it to be fixed.

A nice long chat with my neighbor. She's getting palliative care now, so any time I get a chance to sit and chat, that takes precedence over whatever I was working on.
