What made you happy today?

We’re a few miles from the station but relatively close to some tracks and you can definitely hear them although the bigger thing is we are directly under a flight path so we hear airplanes and helicopters, etc. constantly LOL also we’re near the highway too so you can hear loud vehicles LOL

I live about 2 miles away from train tracks, and thankfully I can't hear them

I lived for a while right next to a train track. Got so I could sleep right through it.

I currently live by train tracks. Very active tracks, over 20 trains a day go through, and that's a low estimate. They blow their horns before, during, and after coming through town. At all hours of the night. You get used to it but I do feel bad for anyone with an emergency east or south of town. The tracks go through two parts of town and the volunteer fire dept is on the north side of the tracks

They wake me up, but it's not an alarm sound, so I can go right back to sleep. I mostly sleep through them rumbling by even though I'm only about 100' away from the tracks.

Barking dogs and screaming children, though... Those are alarm sounds. Can't sleep through those.

The muppets were sweet and cuddly during my visit.
Now I'm about to have an orange pineapple smoothie.

One of the neighbors thought we were crazy for putting Ethernet in the house.

Turns out, the wifi isn't that great.

I got two of the cables to work so far and I'm super happy about that. Only half a million more to go!

I would love to do this someday! I haven't had an ethernet connection since college, and that thing was rock solid.

It's amazing what a solid cable can do. There's ports in the living room, the counter, Dad's PC, the bedrooms. I'm excited to finish them all. Though, my thumb is sore from de-twisting the cables.

Cat brought a young sparrow into the house without harming it, fully fledged but small. Was able to capture it in some fabric and release it back outside. A joyful moment! Goofy cat has never killed anything in her life, her favorite toys are hair ties.
