What made you happy today?

Took my dog for a deep woods walk today (city park) - haven't done that in months. Saw a gorgeous Pileated Woodpecker and many beautiful wild flowers in the meadow attracting lots of bumblebees; haven't seen a bumblebee in years.

When I went out to clean my hen house today, there were five pullets and a cockerel in there. They are three months old today. The cockerel was tidbitting for the pullets. Well, mixed feelings. The cockerel is a BA. The pullets are mostly Ameraucanas. I need an Am cockerel!

Dermatologist didn't find anything to biopsy today. He did; however, 'freeze' the top of my head and bridge of my nose.

Squeaky, one of my Bielefelder hens, got on my lap, which she sometimes does. Robin, my other Bielefelder hen then joined her on my lap.

Robin has not been on my lap in over a year!

I got to promote one of my staff to a manager role. He's grown so much over time and I'm thrilled he decided to step up.

It's a beautiful rainy day! Didn't expect it to rain today but it's raining and raining hard and that makes me happy

Dogs ended up first and second at a field trial today. Entree was small, but the performed well.

An almond croissant ...but today is public holiday - The King's Birthday so all shops are close...

Brought my leftover carrot cake to church and was told that everyone liked it! Yay!
