The current head cook in the elementary school is retiring and I applied for the job. Was informed today that I got it! Even though I've been training for the position, it's nice that it's official. And it comes with a $2 an hour raise. I start Jan 5

My GC set up Netflix on my laptop so I was able to watch Tournament of Champions VI in my recliner. I was really happy because I can see the picture clearly as well as hear it on my Bluetooth speaker. It's really hard for me to watch programs on tv any more because it's so far away I can neither see it clearly nor hear it very well unless it's so loud it makes everone else uncomfortable. I love it that I have my own personal IT person, lol!

I'm happy today because I can go outside whenever I want, spend as much time with the chickens as I want, go for a long bike ride, bake yummy food in my kitchen, work in the yard, shower whenever I want, wear nice clothes, style my hair any way I like, wear makeup, keep all the doors and windows open, enjoy a quiet and peaceful home, and be fresh and clean all the time!

Those are all precious, precious freedoms we only get a few months out of the year now and I really treasure them.

LORD JESUS has blessed us so much! Our children are growing and learning every day! Sometimes it's hard to see it in the thick of the day, but when I step back it is amazing what God has done!
