Somebody dumped a puppy on the road in front of our house on Monday. Took her to the vet today. She's 8 weeks old and mostly border collie. A real doll baby who found herself a fur-ever home with us. We are up to 7 dogs now. All rescues! God is good for guiding her to us and life is fantastic!

I was able to cancel my order with Cackle Hatchery and order what I REALLY want, lol. Yes I am the Queen of, "oh wait, on second thought - !" Actually you save the cancellation fee if you place the corrected order FIRST and then cancel the unwanted order, so that made me happy, too!

Black Ameraucanas (already have six; they are 6 mo old, not laying yet)

Ermine Ameraucanas (There's a limit, you can only order 5)

Dominiques (I've had these before, they're good people. I want some brown eggs, and if I hatch them after breeding to my black Ameraucana cockerels, I should get hens that lay green eggs, I believe.)

I've never heard of ermine Ameraucanas before. They're so pretty!

Indeed they are. I would order more if I could. But by breeding to my black cockerel, I should get 50/50 black/ermine. Of course, I also have to consider the 50/50 M/F ratio.

Oh - and RAIN! We had NINE HOURS of a light rain! And snow up in the mountains.
