I simply can not make myself happy today.......I did try to find away!

My sick hen Mint is...sick/half dead/...I run out of option to treat her, no eating/drinking is the end mostly, but she ate blue berries only now. It is hard to see her this way. She has lash egg and still poop out the yellow/dark yellow liquid, it is the colour of her lash egg....

I want to get out of this emotional feeling about this situation so that I can think clearly, but I clearly can not get out of it....I told myself to stop thinking what next, but let it be for a day so that I can think clearly.

I'm sorry about Mint.

A course of amoxycillian helped one of my girls live for another year after she laid a lash egg. But it may depend on how bad it is.

I'm sorry Mint is struggling so much - and you as well. It's ok to feel despondent over your sick baby. Allow yourself to feel the emotions and then let it go, easier said than done. All things are as they ought be (sometimes hard to accept) and enjoy and love on her as much as you can.

I don't have medical advice to offer, just moral support. I know it hurts. Try to find something, anything good and be grateful for that - such as - you have the ability to care and love her.

May I suggest playing classical music on your phone for her? I've read somewhere where this is a favorite of chickens vs. country, rock, etc. I've done this for my girls when they are agitated by being locked in the run and it actually does calm them down. Some people don't like classical music so this may not work for you personally, but it might help Mint.

It's finally cold here, below freezing a few times in the past week with hard frost. I'm enjoying having to layer up to go out. It won't last long as we'll be back in the 70s with lows in the 50s in a couple days so I'm going to enjoy it while I can.

Good point, but pretty remote and was covered in plain old dirt. It's in an area where a lot of people cut wood, it was probably dropped with the lighter.
I'm a cashier, cash that has drugs on it is on parr and don't scare me none.

I used to be a cashier at Costco's food court and we had one lady that always paid with boob money. I told her, the first time she tried it with me, that I don't take boob money. The manager pulled me aside and told me I was rude, to which I responded, "Fine. I'll take her boob money then call the health dept and tell them I wasn't provided the gloves to handle money that was touching someone's nether regions and the manager made me take the money then go make food." He shut up real quick

I moved the quail to the garden beds I planted in last year a couple weeks ago. Today I took one of the beds they'd moved from and got it watered and hoed to get the poop and feed waste started composting. I'm going to do one a day, then return to the first one to make sure that everything is nicely composted by the time my seedlings are ready to go in.

I also brought my "mini" pond (a plastic pond bucket kind of like the pic below but with a lip) in from the greenhouse, cleaned it off and put it in the atrium so I can grow lotus in it. I just need to find some mosquito fish or maybe a goldfish or two to put in it.

I also got some cheap plastic liners that will fit in the rails of the bridge in my atrium and I'm going to take the babies from my spider plants and put them in there to make the atrium greener.

It's going to look nice with spider plants, lotus, and my little miss figgy in there.
