a big blue hand,from a press confrence our school had, after free cake I also founf the perfect outdoor table set over $100 less then i was willing to spend, yay!

I got all my cucumbers and squash planted today (3000 plants).

Finding not one, but two broodies on the nest today, Mom and daughter, both stealing eggs out from each other, and sitting side by side.

We're going to be welcoming at least 20 peepers in about 3 weeks!!

A beautifully cool day today with cloud cover, the chickens and I were in heaven today, even though we were cold, it was glorious.

Getting ready to have a great night's sleep in a few minutes without stress, that is beyond priceless.

And getting ready to plany my garden...I cannot wait!

Went to a beagle field trial today with my partner. Won the 13 inch male class with a dog we co-own, and he got second in the 15 inch male class with a dog of his. A day well spent in the outdoors with good friends and fellow competitors.

It made me happy to see that there are entries in my "Best Kids and Chickens Photo Contest" that I stayed up late last night writing.

I woke up with 10 fingers, 10 toes, 4 limbs and working organs. I had my dog laying acrost my chest and I could hear my chickens through the baby monitor. It was all good until someone ignored my IM AGAIN.

I have 2 broodies sitting on a total of 28 eggs and one that was laid today by a mystery hen was a perfect turquoise shade of BLUE!

I have no pics because as soon as I saw it, it got marked and shoved under the lead broody hen!

I've had all shades including a light pink, but NEVER a true blue shelled egg, that just made my day, migraine and all!
That and my 9 yr old dd took her 1st sewing class this evening and loved it even though she's by far the youngest in the class and shy, she spoke up, answered questions and is loving it!
Very good day, even with starting it off with a migraine that was the first in a year, it was a wonderful day.

Nearly everything made me happy today...the list is infinite! My children and my good old mom. The sunny, beautiful weather and the so green it hurts your eyes fields all over the countryside, my comfortable old farm house, my happy animals wondering over the green grass and the pink blush on the apple blossoms.

I'm happy that God thinks of me and I am loved. I am happy for answered prayers. A good job. A kind face and a returned smile. Pretty flowers and sun on my face.

I am happy that I know how to be happy and to look for the joy in every nook of my life!
