I don't know about the Light Sussex hen, but when I run the Cross Calculator with a Speckled Sussex roo over a Delaware hen, I get a Black Pattern Yellow-Gold Columbian Barred roo. The resulting hen is Black Patterned Red Columbian. Since the Delaware has the sex linked barred gene, the roo has a barred tail. Definitely a red sex link but not necessarily a white roo results. I'm hoping to hatch some of these this year so I'm interested in how close theory comes to actual.
