Well, that was never my intention. I just thought the article was amusing and thought I'd share. It would be a first for me though. LOL

Of course, chickens don't experience emotion on the same level as we do, but....mine derive excitement from many things. I believe first and foremost, they're food-motivated (then again, aren't we all? ), the ravenous piggies! They also seem to thrive off fresh air, grass, bugs, dustbathing, endless freedom to roam - essentially everything that's born into them. And, if you raise affectionate chooks like I do, human companionship. Little pleases them more than a shoulder to ride on, a hug or two, or a warm lap on which to rest.

A sunny (but not hot) day. A freshly filled dust bath. A handful of just picked alpine strawberries.
