What might these be???

He almost looks like a Silver Laced Wyandotte-if that's a rose comb on him, but I agree, he looks unhappy or not well. Hope some TLC fixed him up some

I agree with the looking unwell. It MAY be just getting his butt whooped, but he does not carry himself correctly and looks cold, all fluffed out. And what's up with the black on his comb? And yeah, the legs look funky. Huh.

If he was a green/blue egger he'd have a pea comb. I think what he has is a rosecomb. I'm not familiar with breeds with that comb. Looking foreward to seeing a pic of the hen. And please, keep him seperate until he's acting better. You don't want something nasty running through you flock. Even treating for scaly mites is a huge undertaking!

I bought a bird from a swap once, and GOOD THING I kept her separated... She had infectious coryza!! Once a bird is infected, it will ALWAYS be a carrier, even if the bird "recovers" using Tylan injections... (oh, and our flock is disease free! she didn't get it from us!)

We kept that bird separate until she died a bit later... If we had introduced her to our flock, all of our chickens would have died/been carriers for life, and any new stock we would have introduced would have become infected and died or become carriers...

Chicken illnesses are nothing to play around with.
