What might these crosses give?

Your rooster is silver based. Red is gold based. He's gonna pass silver to all his offspring so they won't be red.

Your right. It totally slipped my mind that a Light Sussex "columbian pattern" would be silver based.

Your rooster is Columbian. He is silver based. Buff Columbian is what he would be if he was gold based.
Silver/gold is sex linked. Hens one have one place for the gene so they are one or the other. Males have two places so they can be silver, gold or have a gene of each.
Red/gold/buff etc are gold based. Silver based don't have those colors.
Some examples are
Columbian = silver
Buff Columbian = gold
Silver laced = silver
Gold laced = gold
Silver leghorns = silver
Brown leghorns = gold
Buffs, reds etc are gold.
Silvers are usually black, white etc.
That's the simple version.

Thank you so much! Many people have said that, he is top quality! But unfortunate we're rehoming him today, as we live in the suburbs and council regulations do not allow roosters. This is why I wanted to hatch.
