What Musical Instrument Do You Play?

I played piano when I was at school. It was my mother's idea and the forced practice made it a chore rather than a pleasure. I gave it up as soon as I could. Decades later, I bought a keyboard and enjoyed playing that for several years.

I had always been drawn to guitar music. After a few unsuccessful attempts at teaching myself, I took lessons and got into it. I have yet to play in a band but my enjoyment is to play along to my favourite recorded music, learning about its construction and getting into the feel of it.

How about you? Do you play or would like to play? What?

I took some piano lessons in college but I had a lot of problems with my hands. Later found out I had fibromyalgia.

My oldest daughter plays clarinet; the youngest plays flute

I used to play clarinet when I was in 8th grade in school. Didn't care for it! Sis can play the flute and piccalo while her kids all played instruments such as the flute, trumpets and saxophone.

I can play the bowed psaltery!

I would LOVE to attempt to play the bagpipes but that is another ball of wax! Hope daughter has the interest in it but I am afraid we can not afford those expensive musical pieces!

I'm surprised that woodwind is so popular. Great stuff!

Forget about the bagpipes, EweSheep. Playing those things will lose you neighbours, friends and families. You need the lungs of a camel and the hearing quality of a doorpost. You also have to wear a skirt and no knickers and walk about in the mountains in winter out of earshot of the rest of the world. Why do you think that most of Scotland is depopulated?

I play guitar and drums :3 I got my first guitar after my father showed me his, then I got a baby Taylor from a friend. The drums came from a church

I play flute and recently bought a professional level di Zhao and love it. I just play with a flute choir, nothing fancy, I stopped for about 20 years and got back into it a year ago.

I played flute and piccolo in the concert and marching bands in school. I switched to oboe for a few weeks back then, but went back to the flute cause I missed it so much lol.

But I would LOVE to learn Piano, so maybe I could play some of my favorite Piano pieces, like Cavanaugh Park by Something Corporate.
