I think i am going to do a little experimenting with breed colors and varieties. I just got a new roo that has a coral crown, and he is white and my opinion is he is beautiful, big, and is very sweet natured.
i want to breed him to my hens of the following:
RIR
new hampshire reds
blacksexlinks
EEs
barred rocks
silkies
porcelain d'uccle bantams
and i also have this younger hen that is an OEG/EE pullet wich i think would be interesting when crossed with him.

Do you think his coral comb would be dominant or recesive? i want to start my owne line of coral combed birds. do you think that would be possible?

They look like this: http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/CGP/Redcap/BRKRedcap.html

I
just call it coral.

Now that he's in your possession, could you get some pics of his comb from above? I am OCD of knowing for sure what it is and that one picture you showed isn't cutting it LOL

And another thing, he may be too big to breed to the D'Uccles

Ya i thought about that.. but i use to have a roo bigger than him and i checked the d'uccles eggs and they where fertile so hopefully he will understand how to do that

He is scared of me but i will try to get one from the top of his comb..

I don't think YOR was saying he was too big to breed them, but he's bigger than them and could cause them injury. I'd worry about the silkies with him too.

Ok well she isnt hurt and never has been.
And i cant help it if she does get hurt because at the moment all my pens are under construction except for the nursery. If something does happen to her i will take her inside in a cat carrier and then take her to the vet.
