SO I had a few chicks that had been pecked and had some scabby looking areas on them. After cleaning the areas I put on some antibiotic cream and then went off to buy some Blu Kote. It came in a small pump spray bottle and worked pretty well on the first chick. I quickly learned on the second chick that you need to keep their wings immobilized for a few seconds after spraying it on them. Small blue dots on everything now.

LOL. I can relate. The first time I used Blu-Kote, I had a larger bottle with the dauber in it. I was putting it on one of my BR's wattles onto a small cut. When I applied the SOAKED dauber to the wattle, I got more Blu-Kote on me rather than her wattle! Luckily I was wearing old 'chicken' clothes and shoes...shouldve worn disposable gloves though. Lesson learned the hard way

And never EVER use it outside when a breeze is blowing. Now I'm a red head, and naturally have freckles, however- blue freckles aren't attractive on anyone
