what of chicken is she?

If you got her from TSC she could be just about anything. I have bought several chickens that were not what they were supposed to be. My "sebright" rooster had hackle feathers, saddle feathers and long curled tail feathers....Definitely a cross breed.

I don't even look at their chicks any more. Learned my lesson.
 
Assuming that is a cushion comb (which it looks like it could be but I can't see it well in your photos), she looks like a hatchery quality Partridge Chantecler...which is a Canadian breed.

Good dual purpose birds. Very cold hardy. Excellent winter layers. Can be broody. Make excellent mothers.

I almost had one, but unfortunately that chick died young. I would love to get some in my flock and will try again another time.

Agreed, some sort of mix. She's not partridge, closest in color she comes to is wild-type or quail but she's still not really.
