I have a mutt chicken who is now about two weeks old and it is FASCINATING. The parents are two purebred chickens, from a barnyard variety of chickens. It has five toes, frizzled feathers on the wings, and NO feathers on its back and part of its neck. It *does* have feathering down the back of it's legs, which are black, but with the longest toe on each foot turning pink at the tip. It is primarily black with some white on it. I'm actually surprised at how fast the feathers on the wings are growing.
I will post pictures tomorrow. My camera is currently in my suitcase, ready to go to the hospital
