How old is this chicken and what exactly do you feed her?

5 of the 7 hens I have were gifted as chicks in very early October. I just went from Dumor pellets to Blue Bonnet Nature's Balance Egg Booster crumbles.

Probably not enough calcium. It looks like a shell less egg. Do you provide oyster shrlls on the side or mixed in the feed? If not, try it to boost calcium level.

Yes, they had a bowl full not long ago. I'll have to dump the eggshells I have crushed up in the coop tomorrow.

Do this egg could have been laid by a brand new layer?

Maybe. I thought they had all started already, but some of the eggs were a little elongated yesterday and today.
This is normal for a new layer.
I wouldn't worry about it.

Thank you for the help! I'll also be sure to up the calcium.

Your fine giving them crushed egg shells too . Mix it in their feed.
I call that a silicone egg..feels weird doesnt it .?
When the egg machine starts out it sometime malfunctions .
( I call that a egg machine malfunction )
that egg went through the system so fast it missed its shell coating
Now that you have your own eggs ....you will get weird eggs every once and a while .
Not like perfect store bought eggs .
it usually works itself out ..I would NOT worry unless it is a everytime thing
