I love my Speckled Sussex. Although I think she's a late egg-layer. She's super sweet, and very gentle. I also love my New Hampshire Red. She's like the mother hen, very calm and gentle. She's also a very good layer. I feel like those two are kindred souls!
The Black Star and Araucana are a bit feistier. Not always very friendly, and elusive at times.
