What pen is best for game fowl?

So we have 4 roosters and 8 hens. They are in small pens Right now and separated because they fight each other. We would like to build some new more spacious pens for them but I'm not sure a good size for a single rooster, and for a breeding pen. And what is a good fencing that won't mess up tail feathers. The chicken wire is making their tails look beat up!

I'm new to this and still learning what's good for them Thanks for any help I get!

A tie cord. Almost like a leash.

Get some 2 inch by 4 inch mesh for fencing.
