Hi Ok I just candled all 13 of my silkie eggs. And So far I think I have 7 alive! I have a good bit of quitters....

ALSO is it bad if I cant see them move???

Is that a good hatch rate if they hatch?? Honestly?

My first time was about 50%--using my own eggs. I was super happy!!!

I'm only on my second hatch ever (7 eggs each time). I've only seen the chicks move inside on a couple eggs. I think you have to catch them at just the right moment when you're candling to see them move.

I hope all of the ones you THINK are good hatch out healthy.

I'm not sure what day you are on, but I couldn't really see movement until day 14 or so...I'm not good at candling, since I've just started, but as the chicks get bigger, it's easier to see!!!
