what pest?

CMV I was out early and check on my
wounded girl and took another look at her and
her wound seems to have gotten smaller and she is jumpin 2ft. to get to her roost , eating and drinking
so Iwill keep her as long as I see shes seems happy.
this certainly is a challenge.
she hasnt reached the age of laying yet and I have been wondering if I should use Blue kote on her as I have never had to use it on any of my flock.would that protect her from infection?
thank you so much for the input.

I've used Blukote on some pretty bad wounds and I like it. It works well as a wound dressing. It does not prevent an already existing bacterial infection, but does prevent fungal infections and will prevent new infection. You need to treat with antibiotics if you suspect an infection. I am not as knowledgeable about specific antibiotics as some here, that's why I recommended posting to the Emergencies/Injuries/Diseases and Cures section. There are a ton of folks over there that know their stuff and can give you specific answers. I can only give you general guidelines. I know mammals better than I know birds. Anyhow- Use the Blukote. It's good stuff.
