What plays a greater role in frostbite?

What is more likely to cause frostbite, drafts or lack of ventilation? I had a very minor case but it is very early in winter.

From everything I have read on this site, lack of ventilation is bad due to increased moisture in the air. Of course, draft blowing directly on your birds are bad, too...so, adequate ventilation without direct drafts on your birds is the key.

From my experience so far, coupled with what I have read, humidity is a far greater enemy than the actual temperature. You need good ventilation to control the humidity, but like the above poster said, you don't want a draft that will chill your birds.

Sometimes if your birds drink and get their wattles wet before roosting the chances are higher.
