What predator can open a top and bottom slide lock?

We came out this morning to find that the top and bottom slide locks on the main entry door, both of which you have to push up and then slide to open, were fully unlocked.. I would have expected to see one lock or the other messed around with but both? These are two step locks. Is there a predator that could do that?

The first that comes to mind is a human, and the second is a raccoon. Were your birds killed/taken ?

The door was still closed and no birds were harmed. I thought that if we used the two step locks, that the raccoons couldn't figure it out!! My first thought was human as well.

One lock is at the top of the door and the other is at the bottom and both are two step. Seriously, a raccoon could figure that out?

and not be scared away by the alarm, which has a light, alarm and voice?

Raccoons have dexterous front feet and are persistent. Whatever the culprit, it sounds as if the alarm may have served it's purpose. I'd be tempted to install a Trail Cam.

Raccoon sounds most viable. Picture them washing their food with their "hands". Think they could do it.

There's always those hook and eye latches that have an additional "thumb slide" on the hook. Those are pretty tough for even humans.
