We have weasels on long island in new york and have never seen one alive or dead on the road or heard anyone talk about them either. Then one night they got in and bit the heads off all my pheasants and drank the blood from the bodies. I looked up what critters we had on long island that could squeeze through the fencing as there were no holes dug in the dirt or in the fencing and saw that we actually have weasels here. Blew my mind. So my point is just because you haven't seen them or heard of them being around doesn't mean they aren't. Hope you find out what it is.
