I'm sorry for posting a picture of a dead thing but what predator does this? This is the second critter I've found like this. It's JUST FUR, there's literally nothing else there. No meat, no bones, and almost no skin. If you move this the fur falls apart like it was shaved.

It's not graphic, but putting picture in spoiler just in case someone is sensitive.

We have lots of known predators around here. I'm just curious which one is doing this because both "bodies" were found inside my fenced in yard.

Known predators in my immediate area: Coyote, Fox, Bobcat, Raccoon, Owls, Hawks.
... possible aliens.

Aliens do this.
They squeeze them fiercely, roll them between their hands then suck everything right out of the skin.
It is the strangest thing.

Could it be an owl? An owl will eat meat, tissue and bones.

I thought about that too, we do have some very large owls here but I was surprised to see the fur left behind because they usually eat everything and spit up balls of fur and bones later as far as I know? It's a mystery for sure.

Was the other critter a rabbit also?
Could it be a dog dragging up remains of a dressed rabbit? Probably not this just spitballing.

I have a 6' privacy fence around my yard that was built to follow the shape of the ground so that my dogs wouldn't be able to get out. So neighborhood dogs also can't get in and my dogs have since passed away so no dogs in the yard. My only pets are chickens right now and I don't "think" the tiny T-Rexs are responsible... I don't think....lol

I'm still considering foxes, bobcats, or coyotes because I'm assuming they wouldn't be as easily stopped by a fence and we know the bob cat came in and had a feast one night as well. :idunno
