What predators will dig under a tractor?

I highly recommend the electric Premier1 poultry netting. Sometimes they even go on Scratch N Dent sale, save $50 or more. Two sets of 100' netting makes a large area. If you just need to surround the tractor without free ranging, you may only need one set. You can buy a solar charger, but if you want to run other electric out there like lights, you may want to research setting up a separate solar panel and battery array. Ours is set up to run the fence plus an electric door on the coop.

To prevent digging under the coop, I've seen people put dig skirts on tractors too.

Almost every predator will dig under a tractor. Make sure you have something solid on the bottom, like a board. I wouldn't put chicks in the tractor in the beginning. Keep them in a brooder for 6 weeks. When you put them out, preferably put them on hard ground that has vegetation, or is hard to dig. I have a sad story.
I ordered chicks, raised them up and put them out in my tractor. I put the tractor on a very level, dirt patch, because the chicks were still young, and i wasn't planning on moving them. So i go out the next morning, and something had dug under it, and destroyed all my chicks. Didn't even eat them all, they were just laying everywhere. So, i learned my lesson. I am very careful now with my tractor.
It helps alot if you have a guard dog or something, and have your tractor in the dog's prowling area. then the dog keeps things away.
