what predictor killed my chickens?

Last night something came into our barn that is closed except a board that is down near the ground. It killed tree of our hens that were sleeping on the hay. One was left in the barn and the other two were drug outside into the horse pen and were left with there heads off. What animal coul this be?

Were the corpses more or less lined up or warehoused in a small area like the villain was expecting to return to claim his booty? If so that makes me thing a wild K9.

Otherwise there is insufficient evidence.

SounDs like a weasel or a raccoon. You will need to fix that loose board . The predator will be back for your remaining chicken. Please read the articles on predator proofing on BYC. So sorry for your lost hens.

no heads usually point to weasel or skunk, clearly the smell gives away the skunk. Birds of prey also take off heads but that wouldnt fit here given they were inside.
