What projects are you planning for spring?

Let's see. I am adding two more broody pens, finishing the roof on the breeder pens, adding another breeder pen, redesigning the Buff Brahma Bantams pen, redesigning the Mille Fluer pen, adding another free range pen for the breeders to use, building a store front on the property to display our poultry product line, finish building our show trailer so we can more easily transport and show product at area swaps, rebuilding my sister-in-laws chicken pens, puting in 150 feet more fence for their outdoor run, try to finish building our house, start rebuilding my brothers house, finish the addition I put on our friends house and that should get me up to about May. No wonder I am always tired. LOL

I am hatching as many faverolles eggs as I can get my hands on and selecting the best 10 hens and 2 cockerals from what I hatch and selling or culling the rest. Seriously I have 42 eggs and from what I can see 37 are developing

Building a separate broiler house, making a better (more permanent) compost system and putting a fence around our garden

1. Putting fencing up all through the woods and part of the yard so they can free range, and stay out of my precious flower beds.
2. A guinea coop ! I want them SO bad.
3. Reside and reroof the people house.
4. put in a bike path all around the property for the kids out of road bond.
5. more swings !
6. tear out my crappy old kitchen.
7. oh my, this could go on forever...

I still have to put siding on my coop and im also going to be building a deck for the front of the coop. I think it will be neat to watch the chickens pecking around the yard while im sitting in a rocking chair drinking a beer and enjoying the sun. Im also going to build a couple flower boxes for the windows and finish up on the run!!! lots to do but im looking forward to summer, its just been to darn cold here lately!!

I plan on putting in new windows in the coop and make the duck pen bigger, that way i can have more ducks.

I need to build a brooder ASAP...first hatch due 1/31!

2 of my 3 current coops (since July '09 mind you) are not working so WE (dh and I) need to build one BIG coop...and do it right this time! I want a section for my LF, one for my banties, and a grow up pen...just have to figure out how to do that!

Build two hoop houses for meat birds.
Build new coop out of pop up trailer.
Make repairs and renovations to existing coop!
Make portable runs for my chickens that will fit in between rows in garden!
Incubate many eggs and let my broodies hatch as many fuzzy butts as they want!

Hmmmm... I need to put in about 300 feet of new fencing so that they can free range without actually free ranging. I want to build a permanent brooder so that I can hatch all year round, I want to make it big enough to use for a broody cage or isolation type pen. Im getting some Ameraucana chicks from Jean Ribbeck's line so I will need another coop and run to keep them seperate from the rest........Ummm Im turning my rabbit coops that will soon be empty into a grow out pen for chicks and ducklings if I decide to continue with ducks and to grow my broilers in. I need to make another pen in my barn for my turkeys that I may get this year. I also would like to make a few chicken tractors for the garden if all of the above goes well.

I think Im in over my head.......

Wow, I am getting tired just reading all of these. But, my list isn't much better.
1. Build a coop for some turkeys
2. Build a coop for my bantams and separate them from my LF.
3. Breeding pens
4. Tractors for some meaties
5. New roof on the people house
6. Fix the front porch on the people house (it is starting to sag, when it was built they put the 4x4 on the ground, not in the ground or in concrete or anything and they are starting to settle)
7. Re-do the back deck. We have only been in this house for a little over a year but the house is 14 years old. When my husband was putting in a new sliding door on the back, he stepped backwards and his foot went right through one of the boards. to be safe we are going to rip off all the boards and put in new.
8. Expand the garden, we are doubling it this year. Trying to be more self-sufficient
9. Put up a greenhouse
