I also have thought and planned for this. My best friend gifted me with a Rocky Mountain colt 6 years ago now. The day she gave him to me I took responsibility for my Quincy, I took out an extra life insurance policy that will support him for 40 years. Yes, some in this breed live well into the late thirtys. So now he is set till 46 if somthing happens to me. My other horses, the old ones are to be euthanized and buried on the home place. The other 2 go to a friend that has always tried to buy them.
My chickens already have a place and 2 backups to go. That way the DH will only have the dogs and cats. His ideal of horse is horsepower you stick a key in it and go. He did say he would keep a few for eggs. Not the 70++ that I have now.
