What quail breed ?

I just bought these at an auction last night. Any clue as to what breed they may be? And some have bald backs. Is this from over breeding?

These all look like Coturnix quail. I'm not very good with the colours yet, but the ones on the bottom look like tibetan/rosettas. The 3rd and 6th pictures are standard brown or pharaoh. The first one is Egyptian, I think? 5th picture looks like Italian?

@Fenrisulfr is much better with colours than I am.

Yes, they look like Coturnix (Japanese Quail).
But the first impression is, that the most look like males. Are you aware of this through the auction?

It is always difficult on photos, due to lighting, flashlight and photosensors...

1. Male, I would say Brown-Wildpattern ... here an example, which we (in Germany) call so) ... is this Egyptian in the US?:

2. Male, Italian
3. Foreground Male, same as 1 ... background Not feather sexable, Rosetta
4. Left Brown-Wild ... right foreground possible Light Pharaoh ... both I am not sure about the gender
5. Male, maybe Manchurian, but can also be an Italian.
6. Again Brown-Wild, possible Male
7. Too hidden to tell

I hope this helps ...

The auctioneers have no clue. They just knew they were quail. There is one that looks female but the others are so spooked I don't want to scare them yet. Do you have a clue of why they might be bald on their backs cuz that be over breeding from the male mounting the female?

Bald backs could come from being too hot as chicks, or it could be plucking by the other birds. It might be mites, so you may want to look for those too. They should grow their feathers back as they get more space and better care.

I would say in this case, with so many males, it is overbreeding.
Males also breed on males, when they are hormon driven, especially when no or only few females are there.
So don't think only because a bird is mounted, it is a female.

I have a male which also tries to breed my hand 🙈
