Estelle (after Estelle Getty)- buff orp hen
Newbie (self explainitory) -welsummer hen
Susie(she has spots on her face so I called her speckled Susie)-welsummer hen
Little red(tiniest and darkest red out of my rir)- rir (?)
Little rock (my only partridge rock I got and she is tiny)- partridge rock hen
Meanie(he's made me bleed)- barred rock roo
And misfit(my trouble maker)- barred rock roo

And I have 17 more to name.... Just never have had any names come to me with the rest. They are just "chickies."

Sorry hit submit... Didn't mean to but I like smoke and ashes for the silkies and I agree with the name spaz...: and I have nothing for the other one! They are all beautiful chickens though!!!

Here are some of my bird's names

:

Red (Rhode Island Red)
Columbie (Columbian Wyandotte)
Silver (Silver Laced Wyandotte)
Easter (Easter Egger)

These were my first chickens. I wasn't very good at naming them, so ended up naming them after their breeds!

I was better with the next birds, my bantams:

Cream (White Wyandotte bantam female)
Puff (White Wyandotte bantam male)
Tuck-Tuck (Dutch Bantam male)
Cinnamon (Dutch Bantam female)
Ginger (Dutch Bantam female)

But, the offspring of those birds didn't have quite as good names.... I named them after their characteristics (points on the comb, etc)

4-point (Dutch cockerel)
6-point (Dutch cockerel)
Dutchy (Dutch pullet)
Ducky (Dutch pullet- I named her this because when she hatched, she originally didn't carry her back toe right and gave the appearance that she had "duck foot", a disqualification in chickens)
Pompey (Dutch cockerel- he was a favorite and actually got a good name. He was always so cocky and pompous)
Flighty (Dutch pullet)
Pip (Dutch pullet)
Bluey (Dutch pullet)
Ninety (White Wyandotte bantam hen- leg band number when I got her was #90)
Eighty-Six(White Wyandotte bantam hen- leg band number was #86; sister was #90)
Tiny (White Wyandotte bantam pullet- Younger than the other Wyandottes when I got her and therefore smaller)
Stalker (White Wyandotte bantam cockerel- He used to "stalk" after the other males)

Most of those names weren't all that good.

I had another bunch of chicks that I also named...:

Pointless (White Wyandotte pullet- a Wyandotte is supposed to have a "spike" on the back of the rose comb, but her's was bitten off by another bird, so I called her "Pointless")
Toady (White Wyandotte pullet- Has a face that looks somewhat like a toad. I'm not sure if this will end up being her name in the end. She was going to be called Junior)
Piper (Dutch pullet- named after Pip, who I sadly lost. Piper looks a lot like her)
Poppy (Dutch pullet- Piper's sister. I tried to name them with names beginning with the same letter)
Little Pullet (Dutch pullet- Didn't mature quite as fast as the others)
5-point (Dutch pullet- has a five point comb)
3-point (Dutch pullet with a three point comb)
Mean One (Dutch cockerel- meaner than his brother)
Nice One (Nicer than "Mean One")
Tuck Junior (Dutch cockerel- named after his father, who he will probably replace)
Cockerel (White Wyandotte cockerel- couldn't think of a name. Since he was the only White Wyandotte bantam cockerel, I thought that "Cockerel" would suffice until I think of another name)
Ninety-Two (White Wyandotte bantam pullet. Mother was 90, and she looks just like her mother. So her name is Ninety "too"!)


So, these are some of my birds' names!

Most of them aren't great, but some of them are okay. Hopefully, your birds end up with better names them some of them!

Haha laughing as I'm reading this, thanks for the awesome names, definitely got my mind rolling now... Maybe I will ask my nephew's and see what they come up with, kids r full of imagination!
