I bred my new zealand white rabbits last Saturday(so a week ago today) and she's been acting a little more grumpy and sleepy and she eats like a hog.....what do you guys think(this is my first time raising rabbits) But I know about everything about them and almost every breed of rabbit and palpating her at about 2 weeks and giving her a handful of straw/hay at about 2 weeks to see if she will carry it around or build a nest with it. But by what I have told you what do you guys think on if she is pregnant?? And I give her treats every day like bananas/strawberries....but anyway let me know what you think

Well after waiting what felt like forever - we finally have baby bunnies! 6 Mini Rex bunnies were born Tuesday and 7 Mini Lop bunnies were born Wednesday. Now another Mini Lop doe is due this weekend.

Off topic - I have been searching and searching for a tri colored Mini Rex and not having any luck. I'm in the Southern Illinois/Southeast Missouri area. Does anyone have suggestions of folks I could check out?

The two questionable were dead this morning :(

Builta nest in a plastic container with easy access for mom & put it in her hutch & let then outside. Got all ready to go checked on then again & still in bin but mom pulled half the hay out & babies or of the well party in middle poised against a side with no hay so brought then with me in a cat carrier with as much as the nest as I could salvage.
Got some bottles & kitten formula at Petsmart, hopefully I can keep these lay 2 alive

You will need a syringe to feed them. I didn't have much success with those little bottles but it will do in a pinch. Remember to feed them through the side of their mouth where there are no teeth if you use a syringe. It doesn't take them long to chew the nipple of a bottle off and I feared choking. I did feed one with a bottle. I held the sides of his mouth to hold the nipple in. You have to heat a needle to burn some holes in the nipple. I also used a bottle for supplement for one 4 weeks old. So very sorry for your loss. If you are able to save any it will be a great experience.

Here's my 4 week old drinking the bottle.
