Ok so safe around food plants or just flowering plants? I would think urine was too strong.

Wow until you really get past the "oh I want a bunny" u never know what can really go into raising, breeding, showing one.
I do have a question this morning about urine/stools of rabbits. I prefer composting what I can of household waste, long as I got healthy animals I will use their wastes in a garden but when I had some lops 15 yrs ago the areas we put their cage well lets say it took 15 yrs to get weeds to even grow there lol. So how can I utilize their waste? How can I keep or on what schedule rotate into compost it? Any hazards? Right now since im pretty small animal wise we put in bags and take to be burned with local trash. Sanitation is a big issue here and coming from a recycling state well im trying not to let stuff stack up but toss responsible. Suggestions I can incorporate into my homestead plans? Here they look at composting as rat problems in the making as well as flies. Its an educational process too.

I spread it direct over the top of potted plants edible and ornamental and till it right into the soil every fall of the big gardens. I use the poop...rabbit berriesjust toss them around the top of the gardens and waterering with seep the good stuff down deep

I use the spent (old, soiled) hay as a mulch around melons and other veggies. They love it. Throw the rest in the compost pile. I also sell about 4 used feed sac bags a week of poop...it sells like crazy for $5 a bag.
yes mostly all rabbit breeds have BEWCan any breed be a BEW?
Or just certain breeds?
