I raise Standard American Chinchillas, they are big and beautiful dual purpose rabbits. They are listed as critical on The American Livestock Conservancy site. Here are my Buns

My dream is to one day have a ginormous enclosure with bushes,
trees and grass and let a bunch of big and small rabbits loose in it.
Is that sand I see them on?

I have two 10x10 kennels together and made on colony type set up for them. Our soil here in southeastern nc is pretty sandy, so the floor is mostly sandy with some grass and weeds. I love rabbits they are so easy to care for and so sweet!

Sand sounds really easy to clean and it seems like they would enjoy it.

They really do seem to enjoy it in there, they have plenty of room to hop around and the sand really does make it pretty easy to keep clean!

My rabbit isn't on the poll list, I have a French Angora named Benjamin. He is six months old and has so much personality. It has taken us a little time to figure things out but he now sits perfectly for me to groom and I just love him. We are getting two Pygora goats this weekend, I want to blend the two fibers and learn to spin.

French Angoras are comical to me because they have normal jackrabbit faces with super fluffy bodies.
