Oh cool, I'm currently in 4-H, are you? He's so adorable. His name is Prince Charming.

Yeah he is cute! Chocolate is a really nice Polish color too. No, I actually just graduated (just participated in my last fair too. I was in the rabbit, poultry, and shooting sports projects), so unfortunately my 4-H days have come to a close. I'd love to become a leader some day though (probably when I finish college).

Oh, that's neat. Are you still looking for does for your boy? What color is he? I want to be a leader one day too. I'm currently a junior leader, and will be a teen leader next year. Our poultry and rabbit projects are REALLY small here, the only members in the rabbit project are primaries except for my friend and I in our club, and there are only 3/4 poultry kids, and one is aging out next year and one of them might get one of the babies I've bred and switch to rabbit.

No, unfortunately I'm not looking to breed anymore. I've actually bred him a few times to some other does and they've had some nice babies. I'm going away to college in a few weeks so I can't really get anymore animals or breed at the moment. He's a solid black buck. I got him pretty cheap and he always did very well at shows (lots of best of breeds and he even got a leg in ARBA). He's getting older however so I think his prime show days are over. Being a teen leader/ junior leader is cool (in our county we only had teen leaders). I was vice president of my rabbit club for 3 years then was a teen leader this year. And wow that's a small group. Do you have a small 4-H county? My county has around 200 4-H members now but used to be even bigger. We actually have two rabbit/ small animal clubs (one is very small though because lots of people aged out but the other is huge), a smaller duck club, and a huge poultry club with a ton of younger kids that won't be leaving anytime soon (I was the oldest person in the club by probably 5 years. Haha). Rabbit and poultry are our biggest projects.

That's awesome that your club was so big! Ours is pretty small. Your little buck sounds adorable. Oh wow! Beef/Steer and Swine are probably our biggest projects, and no one really pays attention to the small animal projects. Did you ever show your chickens? I show my Old English Game Bantam hen.

Yeah big clubs are fun! Our rabbit and poultry projects are so big that at the county fair rabbits get their own huge tent and chickens get their own huge tent. Yeah our county is the total opposite though. We have one kid with a pot bellied pig and then our dairy cow club disbanded a few years ago. We're more of a poultry, small stock, and horse county. I never really showed them except at the fair because I had to. Mine are all hatchery birds and mixes so they don't do well. I got into chickens kind of late so I never had the chance to get nice show quality ones. I hope to someday though. I was very good at showmanship, however. OEG are pretty birds. I always wanted a few but never was able to get them.

Hello everyone... i recently acquired 14 rabbits and the previous owners do not know what breed they are. is there a "What Breed Am I" thread for rabbits?
thank you

Yeah, post pictures. Try to get a picture of the rabbits from the side with a good, clear profile and close enough to show fur texture. Also try to include, like, a standard sized pop can or a ruler or something for size reference. You could also weigh them or tell us how old they are. That would also help.

Here's some examples of what I mean by good profile shots (not my pictures);
